A young lamb wanders away from the flock. Moses, the shepherd, ponders what to do. Should he leave the rest of the flock to find the little lamb, or should he leave her to fend for herself in the wilderness? He climbs over hills and valleys through the hot sun to find her, and brings her back safely to her mother’s side. On that day, God sees that Moses takes care of everyone, especially the young and the weak, and God knows that Moses is the right person to lead the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt.
